Travel can be Green is committed to protecting your privacy and security. We provide your information to the supplier of the accommodation you have selected so that they can process your booking. We do not pass your details on to any other parties without your prior consent.
By visiting the website and/or using our services we may collect information about you. All information is held in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other relevant legislation within England and Wales. Please also refer to our Terms and Conditions.
Information may be:
(a) Personal data - data such as name, address, telephone number. This information is usually for us to provide you with the service.
(b) Sensitive Data - which is personal information relating to issues personal and sensitive (such as religious life) to an individual person. We rarely obtain such information but if we do, your consent will be requested before we do this.
(c) Non-personal information - such as when using our website, pages accessed etc. This will not identify you but helps us provide and enhance our services.
Information may be direct (where we ask for that information for example, when you book) or indirect (see “cookies” later).
Any information you provide to us about another individual or organisation must only be given on the basis that the individual or organisation concerned has agreed to this.
The provision of the services provided by Travel can be Green are reliant on information provided by you, the customer. You are therefore responsible for ensuring that any information you provide is accurate, correct and up-to-date.
Making a reservation
To make a reservation through our website you are required to provide your credit card details including number, expiry date, security number and name. To ensure the security of this information we use industry standard 128-bit SSL encryption technology which encrypts your credit card details so that they can not be read as they are sent over the internet. The details will be stored in an encrypted format on our secure server and the information is not transmitted over the internet again. Your card details will be destroyed once you have completed your stay at your selected accommodation.
Travel can be Green will not charge your credit card – you pay no fee for using Travel can be Green’s services. However, any deposit payment or cancellation charges (as detailed on the hotel page and communicated to you at time of booking) will be processed as agreed by the accommodation provider.
To review the personal data you have stored with us, log-in to our site using your email address and the password you created at the time of booking or when registering. If you have forgotten your password, email us at info@travelcanbegreen.com
Email correspondence
For bookings of rooms available live on our system, you will be sent a confirmation email with all the details once you have completed your booking on the Travel can be Green website. If you request a room that cannot be booked instantly on the system, you will be sent a confirmation of your request. You will then be contacted again asking you to confirm the booking if the room is available, or to let you know if the booking has been rejected. If you confirm the booking you will receive a confirmation email with all details.
You will be sent a further email 1 month prior to arrival to remind you of your booking details. One week after your return we may contact you to leave feedback on your accommodation on the website.
We will only send you Travel can be Green newsletters if you have signed-up to receive them.
Cookies
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage.
Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.
